Note: We are pleased to announce that The Glow in the Dark Shop has acquired the renowned pigment brand previously known as UNIGLOW PRODUCTS LLC. We have rebranded it as PIGMENTS by UNIGLOW. 🦄 PHOTOCHROMIC PIGMENT:
Our Photochromic Pigment changes colors when exposed to direct sunlight and reverts to its original color when sunlight is blocked. This happens because the molecular structure of the pigment changes when it absorbs sunlight, altering its wavelength and resulting in a visible color change. When the light is dimmed or blocked, the pigment returns to its original structure and color.
Available Colors:
-
Colorless to Color (Base Color: White):
Magenta, True Red, Black, Purple, Blue, Sky Blue, Green, Yellow, Gray, Deep Gray, Orange, Orange Red, Vermilion, Mauve, Dark Green.
- Color to Another Color: Rose Red to Violet, Pink to Violet, Yellow to Red, Yellow to Green, Yellow to Purple, Blue to Violet.
🦄 APPLICATION EXAMPLES:
- Coating: Suitable for all types of surfaces coating products, including PMMA paint, ABS paint, PVC paint, paper coating, wood paint, fabric, etc.
- Inks: Compatible with various printing materials like fabric, paper, synthetic film, glass, plastic, etc.
- Plastic Products: Ideal for plastic injection and extrusion molding. Suitable for materials like PP, PVC, ABS, silicone rubber, etc.
All our Photochromic Pigment Powders are encapsulated, making them perfect for creating photochromic paint, resin epoxy, inks, water-based mediums, plastic, gels, acrylics, and more. They can appear transparent in a clear medium with a lower powder mixing ratio.
Creative Uses:
- Screen print an invisible design on a shirt that appears only in bright sunlight.
- Mix yellow photochromic pigment with blue tinted paint to create light blue paint that turns green in sunlight. The color combinations are endless!
Mixing Instructions:
- Start with a small amount of pigment and gradually add more until the desired color is achieved.
- A good starting ratio is 1 part pigment to 20 parts base. Adjust as necessary for your desired effect.
- Keep in mind that mixing generates heat, which may temporarily change the color of the mixture.
EASY TO USE: Simply add the pigment to a clear base and mix well. Begin with a small amount and increase as needed to achieve the desired color. Feel free to experiment with the ratio to better achieve your desired effect.
